A fast and easy sauce to make
and a great addition to your
Thanksgiving or Christmas meal
Cranberries paired
with Orange make this
sauce one of my favourites.
Also there's many other ways
to enjoy this delicious sauce,
including on toast or ice cream.
Ingredients
1 package 340g. package fresh
or frozen cranberries
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup water
Grated zest of one orange
pinch of salt.
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in
a medium sauce pan.
Bring to a boil and cook on
medium for approx. 10 minutes.
Mash with a potato masher.
Enjoy!!
Merry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Thelma!
Merry Christmas, Thelma! Your cranberry sauce is pretty much identical to my recipe! It is delicious! I visited your other site as well but decided to leave my comment here. My father used to have a lot of glass blocks for building, and using the block the way you did is very fun! So many interesting ideas in your post. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOur son and his family drove from Michigan to the Island and spent a few days with us before heading over to NB again to spend Christmas with his brother. The whole family gathered over there to celebrate and my hubby and I were supposed to join them but my back is really bad right now and I couldn't make the trip after all. But I'm happy all my children were able to spend it together.
The Covid situation on PEI is the worst it has ever been but not nearly as bad as in your part of the country. The restrictions they have set in place and very high winds caused my youngest {from Michigan} to leave earlier than expected. But it is what it is. We make the best of it. Enjoy your Christmas with your sister and I wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year! Hugs, Sandi
Nice, never seen a fresh cranberries before here in Australia 😀! Happy holidays 🎄!
ReplyDeleteCranberry and orange is a great combination. This looks delicious, and I am ready for some on top of a turkey sandwich. Happy New Year!
