A great tasting combination,
rhubarb and strawberries.
|One jar is missing, my brother came by.|
8 cups fresh or frozen rhubarb
sliced in small pieces
(about 1/4 inch each).
6 cups fresh or frozen
strawberries sliced in 1/2.
5 cups sugar.
2 tbsp. lemon juice.
Mix together in a large pot
Bring to a boil and simmer, (boil on low)
for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
(I also took a potato masher and mashed
up some large pieces in the pot.)
It should have jelled at this point.
Skim of the foam that collects on top of the jam.
Place in sterilized hot jars and enjoy.
