Maple Walnut Banana Bread

A light, tasty banana bread.
Maple syrup replaces sugar,
 walnuts and bananas together
make this bread so delicious.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter melted
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 egg
2 overripe bananas mashed
1/2 tsp vanilla or maple extract
3 tbsp. milk
******
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 deg. F.

Grease a 5 x 9 loaf pan.
I line with parchment paper.

In a large bowl with an electric mixer,
mix the melted butter and maple syrup.
Add in the egg and mashed bananas.
Then add in the vanilla (or maple extract) and milk.

In another bowl whisk together,  the flour,
baking soda, baking powder and stir into the
banana mixture just until incorporated.
Fold in the walnuts.
Transfer to the prepared loaf pan.

(Optional I decorate the top with walnuts.)

Bake 325 deg. F for 50-60 mins,
or until the toothpick inserted
in the middle comes out clean.

Place on a wire rack to cool 10 mins.
Then remove from the pan and
cool completely on the rack.

Delicious!!

Enjoy!

It must have been fate, because I bought bananas at the market today with no particular plans for them. Now I have some. Thanks for this! (I'm enjoying your feed on Instagram!)

My grandbabies love banana bread. I add a cup of chocolate chips, so goo!
